All Hands on Deck

For our 10th anniversary, there was no world where we DIDN’T make a beer with our buddies (and frequent collaborators) at No Boat Brewing. And if we’re making a special beer with No Boat, it should probably be big, loud, and drenched in a combination of New Zealand and modern American hop products. So that’s what we did.
Brewed with a heavy percentage of malted oats, spelt, and chit malt, the mouthfeel is soft, pillowy, and luxurious. This DIPA was hopped in the kettle with Citra Cryo and Riwaka, then whirlpooled with more Citra Cryo and Riwaka, plus Superdelic. After fermentation, we dry-hopped with fresh frozen Krush (yes, these are “fresh hops,” cryogenically frozen to preserve quality), Krush Cryo, 2 different lots of Superdelic, and more Citra Cryo. If that wasn’t enough, we also dosed Nelson Sauvin SubZero Hop Kief in the bright tank, as if this beer needed ANOTHER boost in aroma.
The result is loud enough to smell from across the room. Bursting with punchy notes of passionfruit, guava, kiwi, strawberry hard candies, lychee, and a bit of that classic New Zealand dankness. Silky, deceptively boozy, and just enough bitterness to balance the strength.
