Emerald Ibis is our ode to the dry, crisp, and assertively bitter pilsners of Northern Germany. Brewed with Weyermann Barke Pilsner, a touch of Carafoam, and a dash of Melanoidin, the malt character boasts crusty bread and subtle nuttiness, while eschewing the richer notes of its Czech counterpart. Harder, sulfate-heavy water lends a pleasantly crisp minerality and accents the bitter, flavorful hops. Notes of fresh-cut grass, peppery spice, and floral botanicals dominate the balance, while an assertive, rounded bitterness persists through the finish.
