Live Music 4-6pm: Ian Hughes Quartet

Ian Hughes new record "Dreamscapes” is his fourth album as a bandleader, but the first one released under his own name. He is an accomplished guitarist on the Seattle scene, winner of an outstanding soloist award at the 2009 North Texas Jazz Festival, founding member of the Mo'Jam Mondays jam session at Nectar Lounge, and faculty at the Jazz Night School. Ian is in high demand as a music teacher, both for jazz guitar and ensemble coaching for adults and high schoolers, but is also great with younger beginners. In addition to his own projects; dreamy jazz group "Ian Hughes Quartet" and spacey prog-jazz band, "Half Giraffe", he also plays regularly as a side person in all sorts of genres and a solo guitarist both in concerts and for private events.

This special edition of the Ian Hughes Quartet will feature Samantha Boshnack on the Trumpet, Moe Weisner on the bass, and Kyle Doran on the drums.
